This is His Story

This is God’s story of a healing miracle.

This month we celebrate, that ten years ago, on May 3, God blessed us and healed my daughter. Overnight her memory, which had been totally gone for seven months, was restored.  We were blessed on that day and we were in a state of awe.  Thank you, Lord.

Throughout my daughter’s devastating battle with Lyme disease, we were blessed by God’s love and grace.  We had friends, families, and the community provide and support us throughout the most difficult days.  We learned so many things about Lyme disease, but we also learned a lot about love, humanity, and faith. My daughter’s life was saved and preserved by God. His plan was for her life to continue and not only to continue but to flourish, to grow and to love others.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

John 10:10

The thieves in Lyme disease, or any disease or disaster, are: Unbelief of restoring life. Misinformation. Misdiagnosis. Misunderstanding. Discomfort. Dis – ease. These things come to steal, kill and destroy those with Lyme disease, other illnesses, or those living through a disaster. Even during the COVID pandemic, the thieves come to steal and destroy our hope.

Not only were we blessed to have my daughter healed but her life now touches many others. We celebrate and rejoice each day. Her life here on earth, until her eternal life, is being lived through His abundance. She is 25 years old now and works full time as a corporate chef. She is healthy, beautiful, and energetic. She graduated from college including two study abroad programs, in England and Singapore. Two years ago, she married her high school sweetheart. She is a young woman with a sense of adventure and creativity.

God gave each of us grace through the resurrection of Jesus.

God gave us grace through the journey with Lyme disease.

As a Lyme disease advocate, I want to show grace in this dark disease, or other diseases and struggles.  I want to provide hope to anybody suffering, especially with Lyme disease.  God has provided and saved my daughter’s life.  I want people to have, see and experience this hope.  I want people to believe that there is healing and there are miracles. LymeLight was written to share this hope, this miracle and to celebrate God’s blessings.

May each of us live a life of thanksgiving, which opens the door for your spiritual life and joy. Being thankful, allows us to truly celebrate God and His plan in our lives. May each of us continue to celebrate and treasure life in Your name, Lord.
