Linda is a Registered Nurse, mother, Christian, author, and Lyme disease advocate. She currently lives in Bucks County in Pennsylvania, teaches nursing students and works as a Hospice Nurse.
In 2009, ten years ago, Linda was challenged in each of these roles when her daughter became gravely ill, suddenly. The uncertainty of the diagnosis and treatment plan for her daughter was life altering. Through faith, family and friends, Linda had support to sustain her daughter, while seeking health care for her.
Thousands of people are infected with Lyme disease with a poor prognosis.
Lyme disease can affect every part of the human body and often is misdiagnosed. During her daughter’s illness, Linda found the literature, professional and lay, to be dark and discouraging.
Seven months after Linda’s daughter became gravely ill, she was suddenly healed through a miracle. Linda felt called to write a book of hope, LymeLight, about the faith-based journey during her daughter’s illness.
Linda has become a Lyme disease advocate to help those infected with Lyme disease to be diagnosed, treated, and supported through their journey. The one thing Linda wants to provide is hope to others with Lyme disease, as well as to anyone with other health or psychological concerns.
Through her new blog, Linda will offer messages of hope each week. An additional message will be written each week on one of the following topics: faith, love, healing, miracles.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
